“Ya see boys, back in Nam…”
Based off an old family friend and a character all unto his own, Bobby was my final project for my BYU puppetry class. A Vietnam veteran who loves to listen to Johnny Cash and heckle the Walmart sporting goods employees, he’s a lovable goofball that will leave you a little confused but all together happy to make his acquaintance. While my puppeteering skills still had room to grow, I am still very proud of how clean this puppet turned out. With a soft foam skeleton and a blinking mechanism, he can express a wide variety of emotions. To the right are some of the video projects I submitted to the class, and you might even see a cameo from another familiar felt face in the final video!
