Wait Until Dark (Conceptual)

For the BYU Scenic Design class, we practiced by designing for a theoretical production of Wait Until Dark by Frederick Knott. For my design, I went with an arena seating layout with the audience entering through the front door fully inside the house. Our mock director wanted to create suspense, so I created a set that at any given point has plenty of places for the actors to be potentially hidden. We practiced by using SketchUp as another CAD design software before submitting color models for our final grade. With my experience with SOLIDWORKS and 3D printing, I was able to create a very detailed model of my design.
