Set in a 1960s New York City basement apartment, audiences will feel just as trapped as the blind Suzy when crooks try to pull a heist on the clever resident.
This show was my first realistic set design with a specific time period to follow. While limited space in a black box theatre, this design welcomes the audience in with a cozy living space that creeps into the audience’s space. However, when the lights go out and the matches are struck, the audience experiences the apartment’s shift from a safe haven to a cage.
